I saw the car on Facebook marketplace and thought: “Wow, nice car.” But, because I was going to a swap meet with my son that day, I put it out of my mind. However, at the swap meet, I saw a Pennsylvania license plate dated 1951, the year I was born. But I didn’t buy it. Turns out, I think the license plate was a sign. Anyway, when I got home that Sunday night, I looked at marketplace and the car came up again (another sign).

I sent the link to my wife and she immediately said: “we have to go look at this car!” I said that I’d contact the seller to see if we could see it the next weekend. But she insisted that we see the car that Monday right after I got home from work. The car was in Pennsylvania about three miles from where I grew up (another sign). Well, we fell in love with the car and bought it on the spot!

It came with 28 trophies, the bill of sale from the original owner and pictures of the car before and after customization. There is also a newspaper article and pictures of the car at Macungie. The woman who originally owned the car had it until the early 1980’s, when she sold it to the gentleman who customized it, also in the early 1980’s. Our seller bought it from the customizer, making me the fourth owner.
