About Dean Collins’ 1937 Jaguar Kit Car

I bought the kit in 1991 and it took me about a year and a half to built it.

In order to make sure that the body was square, I assembled it in my basement. Then, I had to disassemble it to put it on the frame.

For the suspension and driveline, I took an old 1979 Pinto and tore it all apart. I used the frontend, rearend, driveshaft, engine and transmission.

It’s fun to drive and when I drive the Jaguar on Rt. 80, I have to drive way to the left because people would drift over to look at the car!

As seen in KIT CAR, September 1999 issue!
